Laken Thompson from the Ceduna Blues Football Club has won the 2013 WEFL Under 13's best and fairest with a massive 70 votes, 13 ahead of Jack Launer from the West Coast Hawks on 57 votes. Thompson and Launer were neck and neck most of the count, but an unfortunate injury to Launer late in the season stopped his tally of votes.
Laken joins his brothers Bayln (2017) and Jonty (2021) and father Leigh (1990) as winners of the Under 13's/14's medal an amazing feat for the Thompson family.
